PELL CITY JUNIOR HIGH DEBATE TEAM 

1ST DEBATE 

The Pell City Junior High Debate Team participated in their first debate tournament at Samford University on Tuesday, October 27. As a team, they won 4 out of 6 of their debates, defeating North Jefferson Middle School, Homewood Middle School, Bagley Middle School, and Montessori Middle School. The PCJHS team is comprised solely of Duran North students: President, Kylie McMichen; Vice-President, Jonah Perry; Natalia Bastian, Blair McGouirk, Paige Edwards, Paige Fincher, Malea Benjamin, Lake Minor, DeOnta Bush, Jake Funderburg, and Will Pittman. The high scorers for our team at this first tournament were Paige Edwards, Malea Benjamin, and Jonah Perry. Both Paige Edwards and Natalia Bastian received a perfect score in at least one of their debates. Amazing! Congratulations
